Booking Fee
The booking fee is £400 and serves as a non-refundable date retainer. This secures the time and services of the photographer for the date of your wedding. The booking fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
International Payments
For international clients, payments can be made through Wise (formerly TransferWise), which offers a secure, cost-effective way to send money across borders with competitive exchange rates and low fees. Details for making payments via Wise will be provided upon booking.
Payment of the Balance
Following payment of the booking fee, the remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to the wedding date. The final payment will include any mutually agreed expenses for travel and accommodation, where applicable. No photographic services or images will be delivered until the wedding fee is paid in full. After the wedding, payment for reprints, enlargements, parent albums, album upgrades, etc., is due at the time of order.
Advanced Payment
Any advanced payment made before the final balance is due is non-refundable.
Coverage
The photographer's attendance will begin 2/3 hours before the start of the wedding ceremony and end 30 minutes after the first dance, with a maximum of 10 hours included in the fee. Any additional time beyond this will be charged at £150 per hour.
Turnaround Time & Dispatch
The turnaround time for editing is typically 4-6 weeks from the wedding date. Images will be uploaded to the private gallery within the same time frame and will remain available online for a minimum of 12 months. Please ensure all orders from family and friends are submitted within this period. Album orders typically take 4-6 weeks to complete, with dispatch by 1st class post within the UK. Postage for international orders will incur additional charges, which will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.
Display & Copyright
All images taken are the copyright of Andy Taylor Photography. The photographer may display photographs from this contract in an appropriate and professional manner, including in portfolios, websites, marketing materials, exhibitions, and competitions. All images, whether digital or printed, are protected under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, and the copyright remains the property of the photographer at all times.
Colour Accuracy
We will always aim to provide an accurate and pleasing colour balance. However, precise colour matching between prints and digital images cannot be guaranteed, as there are variables such as lighting conditions and photo-lab colour calibration that can affect the outcome.
Inherent Qualities of Photographs
Photographs may fade or discolour over time due to the inherent qualities of dyes, inks, and materials used. The client agrees to release the photographer from any liability for claims based on fading or discolouration. Prints made at different times or from different media (e.g., digital versus film) may exhibit variations in colour balance and finish.
Retouching
The images presented to the client after editing represent the final set of images. Any additional digital retouching, manipulation, or artistic finishing is available as an additional service, charged at a minimum rate of £50 per hour.
Colour and Black & White Conversions
The photographer will use their professional judgment to determine which images are presented in colour and which in black and white, based on factors such as lighting, composition, and artistic intent. However, if clients wish to request conversions between colour and black and white, this will be done free of charge, provided the request is made within 3 months of receiving their final set of images. After this period, it may not be possible to accommodate such requests.
Editing and Selection of Images
The selection of images to be included in the final gallery will be made solely by the photographer. Any image deemed not to meet the artistic standards will not be included in the gallery. The photographer's decision on image selection is final and no dispute will be entertained.
Reorders
All reorders will be treated as an extension of this contract. No responsibility will be accepted for errors unless orders are made in writing. Full payment is required at the time of ordering reprints or enlargements.
Archiving of Images & Storage
The photographer does not guarantee to retain images longer than 12 months after the wedding date. We recommend resaving any images from provided media to new media annually to ensure continued readability. We are not responsible for the integrity of media once it leaves our possession.
License
The photographer is granted artistic license regarding the poses, locations, and number of images taken. The client agrees to allow the photographer full creative freedom to photograph the wedding in their style and to the best of their ability, as circumstances permit.
Force Majeure (Act of God)
Performance of this contract may be altered or cancelled due to events beyond the control of the photographer, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or other unforeseeable circumstances.
Attendance
In the unlikely event the assigned photographer cannot attend the wedding due to unforeseen circumstances, the photographer reserves the right to appoint another photographer to attend on their behalf.
Limitation of Liability
In the event of a total photographic failure or cancellation of this contract, the liability of either party is limited to the total value of the contract. Neither party shall be liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
Obstructions to Performance
(i) The photographer is not responsible for missed or undesirable images due to interference from guests, other vendors, or unforeseen circumstances, including poor weather. The photographer will do their best to fulfil all image requests but cannot guarantee specific photographs will be taken or delivered due to factors beyond their control.
(ii) The photographer is not responsible for the appearance or frequency of appearance of any specific guest or family member in photographs. Clients should ensure significant guests are listed on a “group shot list” and provided to the photographer.
Exclusivity
Andy Taylor Photography will be the sole professional photographer at the wedding. The attendance of any other photographer(s) without the photographer's consent will void this contract.
Cancellation & Postponements
The client may cancel this contract at any time by giving written notice. Cancellations will result in the forfeit of any monies paid. If cancellation occurs within 4 weeks of the wedding, the full contracted amount will still be due. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
